Lola's first dance recital
Lola did her first dance recital yesterday and she did so good! We are so proud of her. It was funny that they did the recital at an old folks home in ogden, but it seemed like the people had a good time.

new beginings
Well it has been a long time simce I have written anything on here, but I figure I will give this blog another shot. A lot of new and interesting things have happened in my life since I last posted. Lola is 3 and a half years old now and Owen boy is 16 months! I can't believe I am a father of two of the most beautiful children in the world. Francis Ford Copolla once said, "Your don't become a man until you have children." Man was he right. I couldn't have imagned my life turning out as good as it has. I have gone through many trials in my life that I feel have made me the man I am today. I suffer from depression and anxiety that I need to take medication for daily. People are always shocked when I tell them this because I seem to be a very happy and out going person. This is true, but sometimes I struggle, but I feel like the struggles and me overcoming them make me stronger.
Most of you know my wife Dari, and know how amazing and sweet and beautiful she is. Well I am here to tell you that she is the most amazing woman in the world. I thank God on a daily basis for leading us to each other. She has had to put up with a lot of stress from me and some bad decisions I have made in life, but we do things together and we are so in love it's just simply awesome! I left the church for awhile not knowing what I wanted in life spirtually and mentally I was unsure. But, Dari stuck by me and supported me in everything I did and really was just always there for me. In the last few months I have really changed as a person. I have found new patience that I never thought I had and have been the happiest I have ever been in my life. Our kids are healthy and our marriage is eternal. I have come back to the church and found a new love for it and it feels great. I love Dari and the kids more than I can even write in words. My life is great and I see amazing things in the future.
I start the police academy in less than a week! I am so excited and can't wait for this new chapter in my life. I will keep up with posts about it and how it's going. Well, thats about it for now, we are all happy healthy and having the time of our lives.
With love,
Chris

Baby Lola!
Lola is the most wonderful think that has ever happened to me. She is so precious and beautiful and full of life. It feels great to be a dad and I can't wait to help this little girl grow up into a woman. Thank you to all of my friends and family for your support and friendship. My life will never be the same and I am so happy about it.

I am 24!
Today I turn twenty four years old. I have so many things to be happy for. I have a beautiful wife who loves me, and a beautiful child due in two weeks. What more could a man ask for? I love my life and everything in it. I hope that nothing changes and I can be this happy forever.

Falling asleep...may die!
I am at break at work right now and I have been here since 3.00am this morning. I had an energy drink when I got here and now that I am sitting I am falling asleep. I have about five more hours to go and I may not make it. This typing is the only thing keeping me awake, so when I stop writing at the end of this sentence I may just fall asleep. Wish me luck.

it's all about the hits baby!
Last night I went to a concert at the Avalon in Salt Lake. I was very excited to see a band called Far-Less. I got to the show about ten minutes late and somehow they had already played. I was and still am very angry about this; I mean who starts a show early anyways? It was the first time I have ever been to a concert that started on time. Damn you Avalon, damn you to hell. Also, I had to sit threw two really terrible bands who insisted on telling everyone to go to their myspace in between every song. Damn them to hell too! I love you all.

This Summer is going to awesome, it will be awesome because The Dark Knight is coming to theater's. It is a shame that Heath Ledger won't be alive to see it premiere. He truly was an amazing actor. Daniel Day Lewis was correct when he said that Heath's performance in Brokeback Mountain is as good as it gets. R.I.P. Heath.
Houston's 22 game winning streak snapped by the Celtics last night.
Just another notch on the old win belt last night for the Celtics. I remember hearing at the beginning of the year, "We will see how Boston does against the western conference." Well the season is 3/4's over and Boston is 21-4 against the west. How do you like them apples nay-sayers!

Reality TV
When wil it end? This current trend of showing people in their everyday lives on television. Oh wait, is it really reality when you pick seven strangers to live in a mansion and watch them supposedly fight with each other. These shows like The Real World and Big Brother are not reality, a producers job on a reality show is to find out information that could cause controversy and then they exploit it by setting up an argument for the whole world to see. These shows are genetically produced; as one show fails there are five more ready to be put on the air. How can these networks think they have us fooled into thinking these shows are real? Oh ya because people fall for it. These programs are given the green light to continue airing so the people watching them forget about the real problems in the world; problems like the war in Iraq or the fact that our economy is going under. Maybe if we stopped watching so much lame TV and started worrying about the real problems in this country we may be able to solve some issues we currently face. Until then I guess it's back to the drawing board to create some new way to offer people a million dollars to exploit themselves on national TV. The next time you sit down to watch the newest episode of The Fake World, just remember that their are millions of better things you could be spending your time doing.
Love,
Chris
